Better FredenburgBetty Fredenburg celebrated her 100th Birthday on November 22, 2011. Approximately 100 people joined Betty and her family during a supper reception held in the main dining room of Friends Home that evening. Betty received letters of congratulations from the Pennsylvania’s Governor Tom Corbett, the Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging, Brian Duke, and television personality, Willard Scott.

Betty has been a resident of Friends Home since December, 2001. She is surrounded by five generations of her family and the love and support of many!!

Friends Home is a licensed Personal Care Home in Newtown Borough. The mission of Friends Home and Friends Village, its sister facility, is to provide moderately priced, small community retirement living in a caring environment. Residents must be 62 years old or older. Pets are also welcome in most of our independent communities.

The “Village Fair”was held for the benefit of Friends Home and Village
on Saturday, May 21st, 2011

This springtime event included educational sessions from Snipes Farm and other vendors on “Going Green”, live music, flea market and a bake sale. Additionally, pony rides, a moon bounce, face painting was enjoyed by all. Lunch was served by our talented dining staff.
