Friends Home is situated on a quiet street in historic Newtown Borough. The original Victorian building, known as Paxson Hall, is a licensed Personal Care Home. It includes a cheerful dining room, a living room with period furnishings, library, enclosed sun porch and administrative offices. It is home to 21 residents occupying private units on three floors, accessible by stairs or elevator. Three delicious meals are served every day.

Scattered about the grounds are 17 one and two bedroom apartments with a variety of floor plans. Apartment residents live independently but come to Paxson Hall for their mid-day meal and have the option of also coming for breakfast and supper.

Rooms and apartments are cleaned bi-weekly. Laundry facilities are available. All units are fitted with emergency alert systems and individually controlled thermostats. Staff are on duty 24 hours a day.

Friends Home is truly a pleasant, comfortable place to live. Small by design and remarkably affordable, it provides a unique and supportive community that is truly home to a caring family of residents and staff.
