From I-95 North:
Get off at Exit 49, Newtown Exit/Route 332. Turn left at top of exit ramp—Route 332 (if coming South I-95, turn right) Go 1.3 miles (cross Stony Hill Road and Lindenhurst Road). Turn right on Newtown-Yardley Road (sign will say “Newtown 1 Mile”). Go 1.6 miles (through 3 traffic lights). Go straight 2 more blocks, turn left on Congress Street. Friends Home is on the right before getting to the intersection.

From Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard:
Lincoln Highway to 413 North; go 2.5 miles to Newtown Cross bypass and proceed 1 mile into Newtown on State Street. Turn right at the second light—Washington Avenue. Go 2 blocks to Congress Street, turn right. Friends Home is on the right before getting to the intersection. (three-story brown stone building - entrance is from the parking lot).

From Doylestown:
Route 413 South; turn left at traffic light at bottom of hill (after Tyler Walk Development); (Acme shopping center will be straight in front of you). Turn right at second traffic light—Sycamore Street (Goodnoe’s Restaurant on right). Turn left at next light—Washington Avenue. Go 3 blocks, turn right on Congress Street. Friends Home is on the right before getting to the intersection. (three-story brown stone building - entrance is from the parking lot).

From Richboro:
Go East on Route 332 to Newtown; turn left onto Newtown bypass (ShirAmi on right). Go approximately 1/4 mile and turn right. Go straight through 2 traffic lights Go 2 more blocks and turn right on Congress Street. Friends Home is on the right before getting to the intersection. (three-story brown stone building - entrance is from the parking lot).


Founded in 1684 by William Penn, Newtown is one of a handful of charming picturesque small towns dotting the landscape of Bucks County. It retains much of its quiet colonial charm in the architecture of the historic inns, fine restaurants and small shops, including a pharmacy, cleaners, hardware store, gourmet grocery, and bank as well as clothing, antiques, gifts etc. A short walk in town can be both useful and delightful. The Newtown library and theatre along with several churches provide additional opportunities for becoming involved in the life of the town.
