Friends Village is located in a quiet suburb of Newtown Township with well maintained grounds which include a thriving vegetable garden worked by the residents. The Village is designed for alert, active people who want to live independently while being relieved of the burdens of home maintenance. There are 40 apartments providing a variety of accommodations for one or two people.

Twelve single rooms with baths and two suites are located in the main building which also houses administrative offices, dining room, social room, library, recreation room, hair dressing and laundry rooms. All units are cleaned bi-weekly and fresh bed linens are available. Each living unit controls its own heating and air conditioning and all are fitted with emergency alert systems to contact a staff member on duty 24 hours a day.

Residents come to the main building, Styer Hall, for a delicious, healthy mid-day meal offered "family style". Breakfast and supper are optional. Dietary restrictions are attended to as needed.

Many residents are active in the wider community and enjoy planned excursions to cultural and seasonal events. Activities at the Village are arranged according to residents' interests. Three rooms are available for guests.
