Founded in 1684 by William
Penn, Newtown
is one of a handful of charming picturesque small
towns dotting the landscape of Bucks County. It
retains much of its quiet colonial charm in the
architecture of the historic inns, fine restaurants
and small shops, including a pharmacy, cleaners,
hardware store, gourmet grocery, and bank as well
as clothing, antiques, gifts etc. A short walk in
town can be both useful and delightful. The Newtown
library and theatre along with several churches
provide additional opportunities for becoming involved
in the life of the town.
